System for Supporting Communication of Agile Project Management

The thesis deals with problems of agile methodologies in the settings of virtual teams. It begins with the description of virtual teams and their models and deals with both theoretical and practical aspects of mutual communication of their team members. The thesis follows with general characteristics of agile approach and their demonstration on representative methodologies. One of them (methodology Scrum) is described in detail in the next chapter and linked with possibilities of its deployment within virtual teams. Practical part of the thesis deals with the design and implementation of a software application that is focused on effective communication support of virtual teams that utilize Scrum. Deployment of this application is discussed within a case study of a real project which team faced problems of agile software development in the settings of virtual team on a daily basis.

Purpose of this thesis is to design system to support agile software development in virtual teams. Agile development methodology and some available tools to support it are listed here in this thesis, in order to use the system in a wide range of devices, theoretical analysis of multi-platform application development options are listed. The following sections describe the design and implementation witch using web technologies. At the end the system is demonstrated on model situation and extension its designed.

Multilingualism and interculturality in international or interregional projects and work environments

The purpose of this work is to carry out qualitative research in order to obtain an in-depth understanding of the NetMe-In project participants´ experiences. The Master thesis is made up of theoretical part, project and team description, research methodology, empirical part and discussion. Firstly, the theoretical part is focused on four main topics: project, team, interculturality and multilingualism. Secondly, a detailed description of the NetMe-In project itself as well as an introduction to all project partners is provided. Thirdly, the research methodology is presented including the author's research method, the recording equipment, the description of interviewees, the interview settings and the description of the interview transcription. Fourthly, the empirical part puts emphasis on analysis and interpretation of the results of the author's interviews. Lastly, the discussion is concentrated on the author's critical reflection of the qualitative research including comments on the author's methodology and the research findings.
From Globalisation to Localisation in a conrete company

Present society is getting more and more global. In connection with this fact the approach in management is being changed radically. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the changeover from virtual to local management in concrete company. Especially there will be explored appreciated and unpopular elements during the period of virtual management, appreciated and unpopular elements during the period of local management, and missing elements during the period of local management.
Efficiency of communication channels in a group of external employees.

This Master thesis describes the internal communication in the group of external employees and focuses to the analysis of the effectiveness of two main communication channels in particular department of the organization. At first it describes internal communication in the field of virtual teams. Then it looks at the situation in the department of content in specific internet market. The main part is the study of efficiency of the communication channels, especially of the changes in the effectiveness after four-month hiatus in use. To perform the investigation the company internal data analysis was used. At the end, the thesis evaluates the phenomena studied.
Security policy implementation in a selected company

This diploma thesis examines the process of preparation and implementation of a security policy as a means of information asset security management. The theoretical part describes security policies as an important part of information security management systems in a company and discusses the issue of virtual teams in terms of safety risks they pose for information security. This theoretical knowledge is applied in the practical part of the thesis where a security policy is composed for a small IT company with virtual team organization.

This thesis discusses the issue of teamwork. Specifically, it addresses traditional and virtual teams. Thesis in the first part defines the theoretical concepts such as teamwork, traditional tem, virtual team, their origin, differences, advantages and disadvantages associated with them. The second part analyzes the team work and the different types of teams by questionnaires students of the University of Economics in Prague University of Economics in Bratislava. The contribution of the thesis is their own view on the work in teams and what would they improve to make teams more successful.
